Custom Query Widget

Hello, I’m having problems with the custom query widget in the Enlightenment theme.
Whenever I add the widget to a sidebar it doesnt appear on the page and when I go back to the widgets page in the backend – the widget is no longer there. All the built in widgets save and appear on the page – but not custom query one.

I’ve tried lots of different settings within the custom query widget – nothing makes it save. I can add the widget to a sidebar – click the save button and then if I refresh the page it dissapears.

I’ve also tried adding the widget using the customize menu – when I do this I get a working preview of the widget, but the same end result – when I click save the widget isn’t saved.

I’ve tried a fresh install of WordPress and the theme and I’m still having exactly the same issue. I’m running WordPress through a TurnkeyTurnkey virtual machine.

Any suggestions you could give would be greatly appreciated.
