Hi, I am building a website for a friend using Minimatica and they love the template – so thank you.
Now they’d like me to change one thing… We’re using the slider as a navigation menu, with the images pointing to a static page each. My friend would like the complete slider to display on every page – not just on the front page. The slider images (and their linked pages) would always be identical, and the page content would need to display below it. So basically I’m guessing it is just a matter of inserting the slider template part into each page, if you get what I mean? I’m guessing some of the code from loop-slider.php would also need to be in loop.php? I’m not a PHP expert but if someone gave me a hint I could copy thiings around.
Perhaps I’m imagining it to be too simple but can it be done?
That’s a bit tricky at the moment since the slider is the actual post loop. In a future version we plan on separating the slider from the main content and add an option where to display the slider.
Thanks so much for the info. That’s fine – I’ll be keeping an eye on this. Keep up the great work.
I really want to be able to do this, but I cannot find the solution anywhere!
You can display custom sliders on every page with the recently released Enlightenment theme.
In the future version 2.0 of Minimatica theme will be powered by Enlightenment Framework and you will be able to customize the slider for every page and display any content format.
Until then this is the only solution I can provide.
