I really hope this isn’t a silly question, I’ve been through all 402 topics but cant find any answers; love the theme and want to migrate my existing site to it (wedigdeep.com). If i create a new post I can use the option to make a new uploaded image as the galley image but what about all my existing posts? Wuld I have to go back and upload whichever image I wanted to appear in the gallery view from scratch?

Thanks in advance and apologies if this is a silly question!

    cheers,
    Ian

You don’t have to upload them, when importing just select the “Download file attachments” checkbox. You will have to manually select the images that appear in the slider though. This is at least how the default WordPress importer works, maybe you can find a more advanced one that can port all the settings, or simply clonde the database.

sorry poor explanation; I’ve got an existing site and want to migrate everything to this theme and display my old posts and images in the gallery view. But I’ve imported the site and all I get are grey blocks so i went into the old posts and tried to select an image to display using the “used featured image” option…but can’t seem to see that option in images that have already been posted?

Images in those areas must be set manually, there’s no other way. Choose the image in the upload tool and select “Use as Featured Image”
