    Hi there,

First of all I must say I’m immensely impressed with the enlightenment theme and I cannot believe that it’s a free theme! The theme documentation is brilliant as well. Thank you so much! Please let me know if there is a way to submit a donation as I’d love to do that.

I might be mistaken but the onedesigns.com web site looks like it’s using the enlightenment theme and I’m trying to do something like what you are doing where you have like a grid with images, a heading below and a text below the heading in three columns (You have Enlightenment, Espressionita, and Pinboard). I’ve been reading through the documentation and also the example where you build the front page of the demo site. The closest thing I’ve found was where you “Adding multicolumn Media Components”, but I cannot get a header to show below the image I’m using and also I’m not able to make the image work as a link.

I suspect you are creating three different pages, one for each. But then I’m a bit lost. I could cheat by just adding the image as I normally would add media and then adding text below it but it doesn’t look as nice as what you’ve done on the one designs web site. I suspect that there is some boot-strap short code involved… I would really appreciate if you could give me a hint on this. Apologise for being such an amateur πŸ™‚

Also the button below the middle them, is that also a bootstrap short code which is added to the page for the Expressionist theme? Could you reveal the code? πŸ™‚

    Kind regards,
    Tor

Those are 3 custom posts displayed with the custom query widget. You can replicate that behavior by having 3 portfolio projects displayed in a custom query widget on 3 columns.

Great – thanks for the response Daniel! Have installed jetpack and created 3 portfolio project and added them as custom query widgets as described in the documentation. The three clickable images on the front pages have been added as featured images for each portfolio.

However when I click on the portfolio the featured image kind of dominates on the top of the portfolio. I’d like it to be more of a page. On your front page where you have the three themes (image (clickable) + header (clickable) + text). If I start writing text in my portfolio it will appear below the header on the front page, whereas for the onedesigns.com frontpage there is some text below the header of the three themes and when we click on the project it looks like it displays a new page and the featured image (I assume that’s the image on the front page) does not appear. Also the text is different in that portfolio from what’s below the images on the front page.

Basically what I’m looking for is three clickable images (which are like links or buttons) on the front page (no header below and no text) and when clicking each image/button it will take me to a page πŸ™‚ It should not be to difficult. What I initially did was to follow the example where you created the three service columns on the front page. I created three pages and each page just contained an image and the image was set to be a link. Did not use the [media] bootstrap short code as then the link did not work. This works fine but it creates a frame around the image which I’m trying to avoid.

    Any good advice is appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Tor

You can remove the featured image from the single portfolio projects from the template editor. The text you see above the image on single themes on this website is a custom excerpt that I believe you can add above the content too.
