HELP, Esplanade theme crash

Hi, first I would like to thank Daniel for an awesome work. I like Esplanade theme, the only theme that I found fit with what I want to build, and also there’s a support forum, the most important thing for newbie like me.

Anyway, I was trying this tips ->http://www.onedesigns.com/support/topic/featured-post-slider (In functions.php rewrite the function esplanade_ignore_sticky_posts)
I want to make the post just appear in the sticky and doesn’t appear in the grid.
But when I enter those code I got a fatal error. I got this “500 internal server error”

I contacted my hosting and they said the problem is with the theme esplanade. They reactivate my website using another theme and it load fine. But then I login into wpadmin and I want to activate the esplanade theme again, and it suddenly I got the same “500 internal server error”. Is there anyway to fix this? I even couldn’t login to my wplogin, I got the same message “500 internal server error”

I’m thinking maybe I will uninstall and reinstall the theme once they reactivate my website. But I really want to make some changes and enter those code, but afraid it will back in “500 internal server error”
