    So, I just installed Enlightenment and constructed my homepage based on the tutorial, but I have a question

    When google crawls my home page, will it ALSO crawl the writing in the sidebars and read that as part of being the homepage.

    So essentially, Google will “see” all the content on my homepage as being part of my homepage — not as content found on separate pages, which just happens to be displayed on the homepage via sidebars?

    I have Yoast SEO plugin. Should I set my sidebar pages (so, for example, the page where my slider content is found) as noindex and make it so they do not appear on the sitemap? Or should I set them to be indexed but keep them off the sitemap?

    Yes, Google will index your entire home page, including the widget contents.

    As is recommended in the tutorial, pages displayed in widgets should be set to noindex and excluded from sitemaps and search.

    d’oh! Once I got to the end of the tutorial I forgot to go back and search. Sorry!

    One more question–is there any way to set the background color for a sidebar? I’d like to include another call to action sidebar near the bottom of my page, and I’d like the background to be light gray.

    This is my site, so you can see what I mean (it’s a work in progress, obviously, don’t judge!)

    After the 3 My Recent Work samples, I’m going to add 2 columns for testimonials (your tutorial covers how to do that). But THEN I want another gray bar with a CTA and Contact Me button, just like the one farther up the page.

    How do I make it so the background on that sidebar isn’t white?

    In a future version there will be an option to add a background color and image to sidebars. Until then you can manually add a background color through CSS. You can see each sidebar has a class like sidebar-before-content, so all you have to do is add in custom CSS:

    .sidebar-before-content {
    	background-color: #f0f0f0;
    }
