There’s an option below the content area when you’re making/editing a page called Discussion. There’s a tickbox with “Allow Comments” next to it, untick that to take away the option to react to that page.
Ya but that doesn’t let you know how to remove the comment section all together from a page. How does one do that with this theme, I’ve tried a few options and child theme options.

I’m not sure if your problem is the same as those for which a had been searching an answer for a long time:
You go to the page where you find the list with all pages. There you click to “rapid modification” (or something like that, I try to translate in English) and then you will find a box where you can disable the comment function for the page.
