How does Pinboard generate thumbnails?

    I uploaded various sizes of images as featured images for my regular posts. Each time, Pinboard resized and cropped differently to generate post thumbnails. I couldn’t figure out how to get 514x150px thumbnails for my 2-column layout. What is the ideal image ratio or size for featured images? What is the resize rule?

    You have an option in Appearance > Theme Options > General called “Hard crop thumbnails”. If you uncheck it the thumbnails will no longer be cropped.

    Thanks, my problem is resolved.
    Just a reminder: People with the same problem should either regenerate their thumbnails or upload again although they are satisfied with previous sizes of once uploaded featured images in wordpress post gallery.
