Hi everyone! 🐾
I’ve been wondering lately: how much sleep do puppies need at 6 months? My pup, Max, seems to nap all the time, but I want to make sure he’s getting the right amount of rest for his age. From what I’ve learned, puppies around 6 months old typically need about 14–16 hours of sleep each day. This includes a mix of nighttime sleep and daytime naps.
Sleep is super important for puppies since it helps with their physical growth, brain development, and overall energy levels. But sometimes, I worry that Max might be sleeping too much—or not enough. I’d love to hear what’s normal for your pups and how you help them get quality rest.
Here are some questions to spark the conversation:
Does your 6-month-old puppy sleep through the night?
How many naps do they take during the day?
Do you notice any changes in their behavior when they’re well-rested versus overtired?
I’ve also been working on setting up a cozy sleep area for Max to make sure he feels safe and relaxed. If you’re curious about sleep habits or training tips for your puppy, check out this helpful guide: How Much Sleep Do Puppies Need at 6 Months. It’s been a lifesaver for me!
