How to display only 4 latest posts on the frontpage

Hi,

Anyone knows how to limit maximum front page slider post to 4?
At the moment my website shows the 6 latest posts (gallery) and this is not what I want:)
My website looks way better when display only 4 posts in slider mode:) please check here for your reference, http://www.maniophotgraphy.com

I would also like the answer to this question. I would like to show only 8 images on the home page, not all of them.

Is there a way to set a “Featured” category, to control which posts show on the home page?

The default number of pots in the slider is 4 so unless you made some changes to the theme there’s no way it can show more.

The ability to select which posts to feature in the slider is a feature planned for the next release.

adding a plugin such as frontpage manager solves the program. You can give a category to the pages you want to appear on the frontpage and also specify the number.
