Link to Photo for Featured Image

    For some reason, the “link to URL” option for selecting the featured image will not link to my flickr images. For example, I try something like http://flic.kr/p/9Qu34v (short link for image from flickr) or http://www.flickr.com/photos/62440639@N07/5799516019/ (full link for image)… the tool thinks for a moment and then just shows a red X next to the url input. I’ve tried this with many different images and can’t seem to get it to work. Any help?

    Featured images do not have custom links, for that you need to insert it into the post.

    Maybe the [url=http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/quick-pagepost-redirect-plugin/]Post redirect plugin[/url] can help you.
