Media files from media library won’t attach to posts correctly in gallery mode. The files appear as full screen images and no longer open in a pop up window. Clicking on the image results in a magnified view.
Media files that are freshly uploaded however open in the pop up slideshow as normal, and clicking on the image scrolls through the gallery. This is the case whether the link is to the file or the attachment page in the options for gallery.
Both methods result in the same code text and visual result in the editor so I can’t find the problem.
Older posts have no visible code or image representation in the editor so I can’t just copy the old code or even find a clue there.
This seems to be a new problem resulting from a WP update. Can you please help?
