I am trying to design a website for my business on the localhost so I can’t provide a link.
I would like to know how to have the home page title “Welcome to Advanced Windows” but for the menu just to say “Home”. Can someone please help? I have found various advice for other themes that doesn’t seem to apply to Pinboard.
Under Appearance > Menus you can customize the names of menu items however you like.
How? I have typed in different names into the boxes “Navigation label” and “Title attribute” but still the menu item is named the same as the title.
You need to actually assign a menu under “Theme Locations”.
Hi Daniel, I’ve got a similar problem – when I use the Pinboard theme, the title on my home page – the text that should be inside the TITLE tag in the HEAD of the page – is ‘Home’ rather than ‘Redunser Creative Solutions’. Tried creating a custom menu, but that doesn’t change anything. The menu is fine, I just want the blog title to appear for the browser (and search engines). I’ve got a custom image for the header and have the blog title text hidden from that section of the page. I’ve had to revert back to the Twenty Twelve theme for now so that the page title displays correctly.
