Menu truncated

I’m trying to get the Minimatica template to work. It’s going quite well, but there is an annoying problem. In the menu bar, below the slider with the images, i have made 5 items/categories (not counting the ‘home’ item that’s there by default). In certain browsers (safari and chrome i tried) the line of the menu items is truncated, and the last item appears in a second line. In firefox this doesn’t happen. Any idea what makes this happen and how to avoid it?
