Missing Posts on Blog Page

I just recently created a wordpress site using the Pinboard theme and then imported my blogger blog posts. There weren’t that many posts to import and it seemed to go smoothly, all the posts show up on my dashboard (I can open them and edit them) and if you use the Archives link in my sidebar you can get to all the posts, but I’m missing about half of my posts on the blog page, in the grid underneath the featured post. They just don’t show up with the others.

I’ve dug around a bit, looked at my database, etc. and can’t find a reason that these won’t show up. I tried temporarily switching to a different theme and they DO show up in the blog posts with that theme, so I’m wondering if it is in fact something with the Pinboard theme? I’m new to this and not really sure where to look or how to fix it. I’d appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

    Figured it out. Yay!

Just in case anyone else encounters this same problem:
I had experimented with the “Portfolio” option in the Pinboard theme and under Theme Options/General/ I had set a category to be displayed in the portfolio under “Portfolio Page”. But I also had “Exclude Portfolio Category from main loop” checked under “Home Page.” So it was taking out all of my posts that had been put in that category I designated for the portfolio. Once I took off that category for the portfolio and unchecked the box to exclude portfolio all the posts displayed like they should. (I ended up not using the Portfolio option on my site anyway)
    Easy fix, thank goodness.
