Hi, just love Pinboard. Thanks for creating it. One problem though. there doesn’t seem to be any documentation explaining how to set it up. I read the ReadMe but it is very basic.
If someone could please tell me how can I set up Pinboard to look like the Pinboard Demo: http://demo.onedesigns.com/pinboard/
• How do I set up a portfolio. I am a newby so please explain as if I know nothing.
• How do I add the slider?
• I can’t seem to get rid of the “search” option in the header. Please explain how to delete it?
• I tried to add my logo but it seems to only want to add a wide header image. How do I add a logo to the left so it looks like the Pinterest demo? Thanks
Paint GuyParticipantI’m off to look for a different theme. Can’t be bothered to wait for a manual that may never show up. 🙂
DirkParticipantWow, patience *is* a virtue. Most of it is explained in the readme.txt which is included. With some tinkering I had no real trouble setting up a portfolio and a slider.
AlexanderParticipantHow to set up the demo is more or less explained in the readme, txt. Some stuff needs some “trial and error” to solve things. Which in turn can be a bit time consuming I have to admit. But no pain – no gain 🙂

AlexanderParticipantI never used this “sticky” slider feature… still its my favourite theme. 🙂

Alexander, can you please explain how you did it too!
photonopticumParticipant@paint guy: you make the post “sticky” here:
go to “all posts”, select the post you want to be sticky, click “edit” – on the right hand side of the screen in the “publish” box, select “edit visibility” – the menu will expand and there you can mark it as sticky. But, if someone could help me figuring out, how to have the slider with sticky posts on my blog/home page, I really would appreciate it. this is confusing as hell. I just don’t get it done… strangely I get it to wok on any other page….
AlexanderParticipantDon’t forget to switch the slider function to ON 🙂
Design/Theme Options in section “Homepage” select “Display a slider of sticky posts on the front page”

Alexander @ http://www.mouseclick.comphotonopticumParticipantduuuuh! The slider displays on the WP home page. you just have to move this page to your menu, name it home and voila – it will look like the demo.
The slider will not work with any other additionally created blog page.AlexanderParticipantPaint Guy,
My suggestion for you to proceed with your questions is to split them up.
A golden rule for getting help is posting ONE question per post – maybe somebody knows an answer to at least one of them. 🙂
As I said before the demo is more or less explained in the readme, txt. Some stuff needs some “trial and error” which I admit can be a bit time consuming.

Alexander @ http://www.mouseclick.comflippertieParticipantI think if you set a page template to “Landing Page” it will then display the slider. Not checked if you can do this with more than one page.
