page order help

    I need help with the page ordering. It says that it usually puts it in abc order unless you change the page order on it. OK. so that is what I did and on the dashboard it shows the correct order, but on the actual site it remains in abc order. Why? what am I doing wrong?

    Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but this is how I
    changed the order of the front page images:
    Change the published date of the post.
    Oldest posts go on the far right of the screen.
    Edit the post that you want to move. Click edit next to Status: Published
