How come the site header image can only be 196 × 48 pixels.I would like to have a banner that goes across the whole header. Is there a way to do that? And lastly how do i get rid of the “Leave a reply box” at the bottom of the page. I cant seem to be able to remove that field. I tried using a text widget in the header section and that did not work. I have the latest release of wordpress. 4.1.
I was confused by this at first but you can have a bigger image. Just choose a larger image, and when you are putting it in the header, SKIP the cropping. That puts it there full size.

Do you also know how to remove the “Leave a reply post” at the bottom of each page? I cant find the settings to remove it. As for the comment form on the pages go to pages in your dashboard and select quick edit for the pages you want to remove the comments on, uncheck the allow comments box and save it. That one took me a moment to figure out as in older versions of wp the option used to be accessible on the main edit page.
