Hi all,
I am trying pinball theme but some elements are not displaying properly in IE8, namely the primary menu and the menus I put in the footer region. Social icons are wrongly positioned too and search looks like a “square”
After some inspections, it seems the cause might be related to css transitions, that are not supported by IE.I have seen other sites made with pinboard that look good so it might be something I am missing. I have disabled “transition effects for drop-down menus” option with no luck
My system: IE8 on win xp, pinboard 1.0.7
I am using a child theme but tests were made with standard pinboard theme with same resultsHas someone experienced this and/or knows how to fix it?

PoehnixI answer my own question hoping this may help saving some headache to other users: IE, whatever version, may consider some addresses as local intranet, switching document model to IE 7.
Pay attention to the fact that if you are behind a proxy, also the addresses that are listed in the exception list are considered local
