    Hi all,
I am trying pinball theme but some elements are not displaying properly in IE8, namely the primary menu and the menus I put in the footer region. Social icons are wrongly positioned too and search looks like a “square”
After some inspections, it seems the cause might be related to css transitions, that are not supported by IE.

I have seen other sites made with pinboard that look good so it might be something I am missing. I have disabled “transition effects for drop-down menus” option with no luck

My system: IE8 on win xp, pinboard 1.0.7
I am using a child theme but tests were made with standard pinboard theme with same results

Has someone experienced this and/or knows how to fix it?
    Thanks a lot

I answer my own question hoping this may help saving some headache to other users: IE, whatever version, may consider some addresses as local intranet, switching document model to IE 7.
Pay attention to the fact that if you are behind a proxy, also the addresses that are listed in the exception list are considered local
Thank you for this very beautiful theme
    bye
