Removal of padding?

I have been trying everything I can think of for days but no such luck

There is a border (padding?) around each item. I would like to remove all the borders and expand to full width and allow me to have my slideshow right up against the bottom of the menu..
I would appreciate any help you could provide to I can move forward.
