I would like to know how to not display the featured image at the top of the page with the full post. My problems is outlined below.
Currently each post I write has a featured image and I display the last 5 in a slider on my home page. I also see snippets/thumbnails(?) of my previous posts on my home page. These show the featured image and the beginning text. The problem is that when I try and export my page to PDF or DOC most of the plugins don’t export the featured image. I decided to replace the featured image on my older blogs with the same image embedded in the text at the beginning of the blog. Now when I look at all my blogs in snippet or thumbnail format (not sure of the correct term) all I see is text. It appears that I can see the feature image but not any other image in this thumbnail version. I then added the feature back in but on the page displaying the full post I now see the image twice, once as a feature and once as an embedded image. Is there any way to say not to show the featured image in the full post page? An alternative would be to be able to show the image defined at the top of the text in the thumbnail/snippet of my blogs. I could easily remove the featured image of older posts. Any suggestions please??? ……..Jackie
jjansen1609ParticipantI have just solved this. I found a plug-in called “Hide featured image”. It does exactly what I want. It hides the featured image when looking at the full post but this theme still sees it for the slider and the thumbnail/snippets. Now I will define the featured image and also insert the same image to the beginning of my post and it will show everywhere I want it to and only once everywhere. Works great…….Jackie
