Still one or two pages to fiddle with and put live but this pretty much the final thing. Love the theme, very easy to work with.
Changed a few things, like the header, full page posts and pages and a few other little tweaks.
Here is one I have been building for a local company. Love the theme. Still needs a couple tweaks but its fairly versatile and works well for many different niches.
@robyn I just used text widgets in the sidebar top widget area. These also read html so you can just type in some stuff or even put embed code for different things in them.
@axis83 : how did you get the posts on your blog page to show in date order, without keeping the sticky posts at the top always. Thanks.

First WordPress site, which took about a month and a half (starting at installing WordPress on XAMPP to migrating it to Bluehost last night)! Really steep learning curve but there have been some excellent tutorials online (including Alexander’s). Firebug was also invaluable.

Hi all,
I am an artist who actually employed someone to create a custom CMS for me with eCommerce, but after being nearly run out of business by him, I was forced to bite the bullet and make my site myself. So I turned to WordPress and Pinboard, a really wonderful theme, perfect for displaying what I’m doing.
I’ve had very few problems with it that I can’t solve myself (other than the current default width change with the v1.0.7 update which has broken my layout/design a little) – and I’m really enjoying its fluidity.

I’m a graphic designer and I like the Pinboard theme. I’m new to web design and WordPress, but here’s what I have thus far (not stellar I know):

I still would like the overall appearance to fit my style of design, and showcase my artwork a little better. For some reason the social media links are not visible. I’m open to suggestions/criticism. Some peoples Pinboards are really impressive.Just started!
