One more question: is possible to obtain the slider made only by images (I made post only with thumbnail) and maintain static page as main page? Now I can put slider only while I have on the home page posts and when I give a static page slider disappears.
I have been looking informations about landing pages and that means that I need to create another static page? but when I set in my settings/reading (or customize) static page slider disappears…do I understand it right? I found info about Landing Pages plugin, download it but it seems a bit complicated, do I need to create css…? because theme I already have and I like it and don´t want to change it.
You don’t need any plugin. When you edit the static front page you have a setting “Page Template” with a dropdown of options with “Standard” selected. Change it to “Landing Page” and save the changes.
