Sticky feature not working since WordPress update

I have about 6 posts on my site right now and only have one selected as ‘sticky’ in the Minimatica theme. However, it’s not one of the 4 most recent, and even though I’ve tagged it to stay on the homepage slider, it’s not showing up. Not sure what to do, but it definitely seems tied to the latest WordPress update.
