How do I get the tagline to appear like it does in the demo (http://demo.onedesigns.com/pinboard/)

If you mean the line on the demo that says “Just another beautiful WordPress theme”, you need to add a Text Widget into to the Widgetspace ‘Wide’ and type the tagline in there.
