Tagline Not Showing In Header When I Hide Widget From Pages And Other Issues

When I use plugins like Display Widgets or Widget Context to display widgets in my header on certain pages, the tagline in my header vanishes. How can I fix this? Also, the format of the header changes for every page (that is, every page gains a lot of extra space between the header and main nav; note that I don’t have a header image). How can I get it so that the header format only changes for the pages on which I use the widget? This issue is not limited to placing a widget in the header.
