Text strings embedded in the source code not in the pot language file

Hello.

I love Pinboard and I’m using it for a website I’m creating in Spanish. I ran into some text strings that apparently are in the php files and not in the language files. Examples:

1 – In the search box there is grayed out text that says “Search this website”.
2 – At the bottom of the page that displays posts there is a message that says “There are no more posts to display”
3 – If you click on a category to narrow down the posts there is a message at the top of the page that says “Currently viewing Category”. “Currently viewing” is in the pot files but the word “Category” is not.

I can certainly go into the PHP files comment out the english txt strings and write in the spanish translations however this isn’t a good way to do this (I do plan to also have an English option at a later time). Is this correct? Is there a better way to do this?
