Updating Theme – will it break jumping from much earlier version?

    Hi, I have version 1.1.3 and the current version is 1.1.10
    It has Revolution Slider Version 4.1.4 and I have read that it is essential to update that plugin a.s.a.p.for security reasons.

    I’m concerned that my slider settings may be lost, is there anything I should do before updating?

    Also, what is the correct procedure to update the theme? I am using it ‘as is’ – no child theme.

    Are you using Resolution Slider as part of a plugin or did you manually added it to the theme? If you are using it as a plugin then you will not lose your settings, otherwise any modifications done to the theme (except theme settings) will be lost during update.

    Thank you Daniel,

    The plugin was a ‘required plugin’ with the version I had and was part of the download, so it was added. I don’t know how I will update it except by buying it, I guess:)
    I think anyhow, from your answer, that I can update the theme.
    Your help is appreciated..
