So, this is the 3rd post I’m doing and I am very frustrated. Clearly I have marked the posts as sticky, my problem is the video attached to the posts does not display in the slider on the top of my page. Does anyone know how to help me or not? If not, I’m going to another theme and not recommending one design to another person. Thank you, kindly.
Celebterview.comFor TinaB… videos in slider …after trying a lot of different solutions i finnally discovered how to show videos in slider.
First create new post for your video… than in your editor (where you usually put your text and images) look to the right side and find new tab – HTML- click on that and now you are in code view. Than go to youtube and under video you have EMBED option. Click on that and than copy and paste that code in wordpress editor(that one which you previosly open as HTML view)
Thats it.Tips: In embed code from youtube you can change height and width to fit exactly in your page
because Esplanade can be resized.
If you puting any code in wordpress editor, be sure that you are in HTML view because wordpress gonna mess your code if you are in regular view.Hope this helps…

SinePS: Make sure that post is market as -Sticky- ( All Posts -> Hover with mouse over name of post ->Quick Edit -> on right side check: Make this post sticky -> and while you are there change post format to : Video ….
SineI tried all of this and the videos still won’t show in the slider. =(
I love this theme and wish I could fix it.Hm, strange…i also think that theme is great…maybe you need to re check everything.

I have a part solution for you.
You can get the video to show in the slider but it will be where you normally see the text etc’.Simply go to edit and change the format to “Audio” then click update. not perfect but still shows and plays as video. When testing I also saved a photo as featured image which was taken from the video so they matched.
I’m sure the author will update the video fault in the near future.
I installed the theme today, and its the same problem. I tried to make it embeded, and its not working. I can make it audio but its not what I really want. If you make it as an image, it doesnt display in the slider but it makes the video smaller…
I would really like to have a solution for that 🙁

As I said above. The Video feature does not work, you can obly do it the way I have said.
Have a look what I did here http://www.photo-restore.me.ukI see. I still can not display pictures on the slider… but I have seen you can do it in your webpage… is there any thing in concret you have to do to display one specific photo???

I can confirm this is happening for me as well; when I submit the video-by-url form, there is some error message beginning “Warning” that shows up, but it goes by too quickly to even screencap it much less copy-paste it.
I wouldn’t mind this feature being broken except that apparently it’s shown in the video advertising the product? as some here mentioned. That’s not really cool.
Same problem with the embedded videos not showing on the slider. I don’t care much for the slider, but whether on the slider or the grid, the following error messages appear on top of the videos, when “Video” post type is selected:

I’d be content if I could display the videos on the grid without all the errors above ^
Issue has been solved in the last version. Sorry for the long wait, this has been kinda tricky and I have been kinda busy.
