When slide hai less than four images don't work correctly

Dear Daniel,
my home page slide has many images, one for each articles inserted. I add an article occasionally and then the number of images of the slide is variable: if a multiple of 4 everything works well, otherwise when there are 1,2 or 3 images, the slide does not flow properly.
For example, non I need to show 6 items, but the next month could be 10, then 13: I can see correctly the pages that has 4 images, but not those that remain unmatched compared to 4.
I hope I explained well because my English is not good.
