Why do people call Honkai Star Rail “predatory” when there are games with worse mechanics? For example, there is a system where there is no pity, and you can only confirm the receipt of a character after 300 throws. Isn’t that more predatory?

Honkai Star Rail gets called predatory not because it’s the worst but because it’s subtle and polished in how it pushes players to spend. Other games might have no pity or insane 300-pull guarantees but here it’s the constant limited banners events and FOMO that make you feel like you’ll miss out unless you pay. Everything is tuned to keep you just short of what you need. That’s why people feel trapped. The smart move is using Honkai Star Rail top up to grab Stellar Jades fast instead of wasting hours farming. You get what you need instantly and can focus on enjoying the game not grinding endlessly. Best during time-limited events where every pull matters.
