Add images to slider without creating post?

Is there a way to add additional images to the slider without creating posts?

Well there are images I’d like to use in the slider on my front page but I don’t want a bunch of empty posts cluttering the blog or portfolio sections.
That’s okay, I’ll figure something else out. Thanks.
