Changing Headers for individual pages?

    I am a newbie at this design lark and was wondering if there was a way of changing the header image for specific pages. If it involves coding can you be specific please (i.e. where I find the code to alter etc) as I really am a novice. I have played about with featured images and fiddled with custom fields but to no avail!

    What can I ad in the theme options > Layout custom CSS to get rid of the frame around the header image and be able to ad a bigger frameless header image ? Is there a little tutorial ?
