column issues

hi. this is my first time using wordpress and thanks to the forum, i’ve manage to get things going. now, i’m in a bind. i followed the instructions to change 3 columns to 4 but the display stays at 3 even though i’ve modifed the functions.php and style.css .

bind #2. the images get duplicated.
