Custom posts in slider

Just wondering how I can make the slider show 4 of my posts permanently on the home page.

I have tried using sticky’s but 2 of my other posts show up. I have changed defaults posts per page but still to no avail.

I don’t know how to run a query posts to find only 4 of my posts.

You can use the [code]include[/code] argument for [code]query_posts[/code]

Thanks for the reply. Managed to use a date inclusion so only 4 of my posts were on the home page.

Could you please tell me how you managed? I only want to show 4 posts that i set manually or (if that is not possible) only show posts in slider from just one specific category.
Could you guys help me out?

Hi Daniel. Could you explain how to use this code to get four particular posts to stay on the home page slider? At the moment I’m just using the date, but every time I add another post I have to change them again (which is not really ideal). Thanks for your help!

Not to worry Daniel – I got this sorted using a plugin called [url=http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/frontpage-category-filter/]Frontpage category filter[/url]. It allowed me to create a new category for the four posts I wanted to have permanently on my home page slider, and it works beautifully.
