I want to change the default footer background colour in the blog post entry footer. I hope I am describing it correctly, I am VERY new to WordPress and HTML etc, but am learning fast and willing to try.
I would also like to change the background colour of a sidebar, just the sidebar, not the whole page.
I have looked at Webdeveloper in FF and it tells me that the footer background is in Embeded Styles, but I am not able to find this location, can someone point me in the right direction please.Is there a glossary of names used to describe the various areas of a page, it would be helpful if I knew the correct names when looking on the style sheet, some are logical and obvious, some (most!) are not

Since posting the above, I have figured out how to change the post meta background colour (told you I didnt know the correct terminology!)
I have also learned that the other changes are concerning the Recent Posts Widget, can I change a widgets background colour? I would like to have it displayed on a different colour background to the main page, if possible.
