How do I eliminate recent posts and comments on the home page?

    I’m a little stumped. How do I get rid of the recent posts and comments on the home page and all other pages for that matter?

    You can get rid of comments by choosing Quick Edit under the page/post you want to remove comments on. There’s a check box there. If you want to eliminate recent posts on the home page but not on other pages, you can select a different page template (i.e. one without a sidebar).

    I think the OP was referring to removing the widgets that display these, not stripping comments from individual posts.

    To remove them from the header, go to Appearance / Widgets and drag and drop unwanted ones to the ‘Inactive’ panel.
