Hi, are there any language packs available for this theme? Would need a german version. If not, please tell me where to get a template so I can translate myself.
dahu_dextrogyreParticipanthello Bachsau,
Have you find a solution for translation ?
I’ve the same problem : in french ….
Thanks for your help
pdyw7sjy4xpy4eqzParticipantNo. One Designs should care, but they don’t, so I wouldn’t buy any designs from them.
sebastienserreParticipantHello
In theme/esplanade/languages theres is an esplanade.pot… but when I translate in French with Poedit, my websites are allways in english!any ideas to help?
Thx
dahu_dextrogyreParticipantHello,
I solved the problem using the following tutorial:
http://www.herewithme.fr/2007/07/28/explications-sur-linternationalisation-de-wordpress-et-crer-un-fichier-po-avec-poedit/It should be noted that the given file is a template, not a translation file. More missing entries … so, work half done.
I offer you my French translation files that you can use and complete (because I did not a big work for the backend part)

have a good day !
sebastienserreParticipantThx dahu_dextrogyre,
Where do you add these files as I’ve done a Child theme….
My WordPress doesn’t take in count these file neither if I add them in the Esplanade Languages folder or in a Language folder in my Child ThemeIn the wp-config, I’ve add define(‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’);
dahu_dextrogyreParticipantHere :
wp-content\themes\esplanade\languages\Two file :
– fr_FR.mo
– fr_FR.poAnd no modification like this :
define(‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’);
=> Because the language of the browser is detected and used by wordpresssebastienserreParticipantThx, it’s working.
Is possible to add the translation file under the child folder?
to avoid loosing the translation in an update?dahu_dextrogyreParticipantI think YES, but not tested :
http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes#InternationalizationpengstParticipantAt the moment I’m working on a german translation. Just tell me if anyone interested in it.
BillieParticipantHi pengst,
stellst Du die deutschen Sprachdateien zum Download zur Verfügung?
Wäre super-nett!!Gruß, Billie
KiwiaufzeitParticipanthttp://speedy.sh/kqUV3/esplanade-de-DE.po
http://speedy.sh/N8HKr/esplanade-de-DE.mo
the German language packs
die deutschen SprachdateienPut them into wp-content/languages/themes and you should be good to go (otherwise let me know). You can check them out on http://projectpenniless.com/de
@sebastienserre: put them in the folder mentioned above. This one won’t be affected by updates (at least not until OneDesigns release their own translation. I doubt that though).In regards to all other languages: download the esplanade.pot file from your theme-filder onto your computer, get Poedit (just google it) and open the .pot file. Do all your translations, save the file as esplanade_(INSER YOUR LANGUAGE-CODE HERE (q.e. de_DE, en_US, en_GB etc.).pot. Not just change the ending from .pot to .po and upload it into the folder mentioned above. Enjoy your translation.
Hope that helped (I know the post is a bit older but I figured you might have subscribed to the thread or someone will find it via Google)
