    Hi,
the theme is awesome, and the infinite scroll feature makes it look very nifty. But I have some stuff in the footer that I want visitors to read. And if you have a lot of posts, infinite scroll will keep loading ‘batches’ of posts.

In the general WordPress settings, you can limit the number of posts that is shown in every ‘batch’. But then still, the batches keep loading untill all posts are displayed, which implies a very long wait to quietly read the footer.

Is there a way to limit the amount of ‘scroll batches’ that are loaded?

You can use the AJAX navigation instead. Still loads posts without refreshing the page but has the user click a “load more posts” link.

    Hey I understand your idea!
I wanted the same, but if you limit an infinite scroll it ain’t infinite no more… So how to get around and still get the effect you want (my wp site is still very young and easy to apply this method)

So what I did was after my 10 most recent posts I edited the rest:
edit post – edit visibility – hide on the front page (check)!

So I now have the infinite scroll effect but after 10 posts it ends πŸ˜‰
From now on all i have to do is go to some older posts and check that box to keep my homepage short and sweet πŸ˜‰

    Hope I helped!
