Menu Bar, Blog size, order of posts in home page.

Hi Guys,
i am really loving this theme, it is just so pliable. I have a couple of little things that i wounder could people help out with.

1. I am trying to put little dots in between the items in the menu bar. The reason for this is I want to get the last item in the menu bar to line up with the slider.

2. I would like to make the slider image either smaller so that it lines up with my widget column or really, just to make the whole thing squared off.

3. As I want the front page to remain pretty static ( not like a blog ) is there a way of numbering where each item goes on the list rather then having to re publish everytime ?
