Hi, first off, I love the theme! I love the feel of the magazine style.. it’s perfect for my site!

But I’m having a major issue! I imported my blog from blogger and all the tags from there became categories in WP. This is standard and I knew that. But as I started to clean up the categories it completed deleted all my customizations to the sidebars and it reverted it to the defaults.

I tried removing all the widgets and putting them back but it’s not working. In the admin they show up in their spots, but live on the site they’re not there. Please help! What on earth could be causing this?
    thanks!

And going back to WP admin a few hours later and all my widgets (which I’d saved in the “Inactive Widgets” area) are all gone… totally lost. I have to start over. πŸ™

I don’t think this has to do with the theme as it doesn’t control the content of the sidebars annd the categories deffinetely don’t have any connection to them. There was probably an appearance reset or something after the import.

Have you tried switching the theme or adding the widgets back?

Could I see your URL please?

I thought it seemed too weird to be theme-related…

The import was done in the beginning. Then I added the theme. Then I tweaked the theme. Then I altered the categories. That’s when the sidebars went wonky. I removed all the widgets to the inactive area and then they disappeared from the inactive area. They are gone. Finished. I really wished I had backed up the content of the sidebars. *sigh*

I haven’t changed themes since. And there are no widgets to add, like I said, they’re just… gone. It seems to have something to do with my browser resetting as it just happened again. Guh! It’s like there’s a time sync problem, the broswer resets and then again work in the admin area is like it never happened.

This is SO not the theme’s issue. πŸ™

Try making another import file. It’s an XML and you can manually edit it. Remove everything except the widgets data and try another import. Ho knows?
