    Hi,
Thank you so much for this lovely theme.

I am developing a site for my friend to work as a portfolio for his photography work. I have set up custom menu items to linkthrough to individual posts that will each be different curations (weddings, portraits etc).

I am trying to create a separate ‘client’ category that will contain all posts that are password protected. Currently when you click ‘client’ in the nav it takes you through to the client category but nothing come sup in the slider- possibly because I have removed the client posts from the front page slider? Or possible because the posts in that category are all password protected?

Would love some insight in to what you think might be causing the posts not to display in the client category slider (keeping in mind I don’t want them to show up in the homepage slider).

If I can’t figure out a work-around I can always instruct him to send clients the direct URL for their gallery.
Thank you- your help is much appreciated.

Password protected posts are not excluded from the slider, please check that you actually have posts in the category.

    Hi Daniel,
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly.

I have included posts in my ‘client’ category but I have also excluded the client category from the slider as I don’t want it to show up on the homepage.

Is there any way to create a landing page for a category without using the slider?

Yes, you have the option to display one category with the blog layout in Theme Options.

Fantastic- thank you for you help. A few final questions I’m hoping you can help me with:
    1. How can I delete the date and author meta data that appears over the top of the feature image in the blog layout and
    2. Replace the line ‘There is no excerpt because this is a protected post.’ with ‘Please enter your personalised password below’
    3. Replace the ‘Continue reading’ with ‘View Gallery’?

Any help would be much appreciated. I can fumble through pulling out various php or CSS strings but if you already have info it would make it much easier πŸ™‚
    Thank you!
    Ingrid
