since no one has a comment about this, I must be an idiot for not getting this to work, but how can I recreate the four columns (starting at the top, not under two one column posts), as seen in http://demo.onedesigns.com/pinboard/?page_id=26 ?
You can either create a page and assign it the template Portfolio, 4 Columns or use the 4 columns layout with no sidebars.
Daniel:
doesn’t work for me. For the page in question, I select “Portfolio, 4 Columns” as the template from QuickEdit. It shows two big posts (one column each) and underneath several columns (four columns: http://stage.corevc.com/wordpress/?page_id=5). In the example page I site, above, there are several category buttons (Animals, Abstract, etc) – which I’m curious how you get – and then immediately 4 columns.
I assume your second option is done as follows: Appearance > Theme Options > Layout > Current Columns (dropdown: 4). Doesn’t work. Or am I looking in the wrong place here as well?
Do you have a portfolio category assigned under Appearance > Theme Options > General?
The tabs that appear at the top are just subcategories of the main portfolio category.
