I’ve seen a few topics regarding the slider location but I’m still not able to remove the slider from my BLOG page. My HOME is designated as having the slider and is a Landing Page template. My blog page just has the default template. how do I remove the slider from the blog page?

I’m not sure if the following will help but I used to have the same problem you’re having. What I did was make sure I’m not using a static page for my home page. You might want to try the following to see if it will solve your situation:

Go to your Dashboard then choose “Settings” and under “Settings” choose, “Reading”. On the Reading page be sure to choose “Your latest post” where it says, “Front page displays”. Save your changes if any…

Next, you need to create and publish a new page and title it, “Blog”. All your blog entries will fall on this new page instead of your home page (which is your original blog page). Give it whatever template you want but don’t write anything on the page.

For your slider images to show “only” on your home page and not on the new blog page you created, you need to make sure you place the images you’ll be using in your slider in a specific category, labeled “sticky” or, “slider” or something similar to these names and then choose, “Stick this post to the front page” on the page you’re on, where it says, “Visibility” on the top right hand corner of the page.

The last thing you need to do is to install and activate the Wordprsss plugin called, “WP Hide Post”. After it’s activated you’ll see a new menu on each of your posts pages, on the bottom right labeled, “Post Visibility”. Use this and choose, “Hide on the front page” for anything you don’t want showing up on your home page.

Internet search, artworks joan a brown dot com to see the results of my pages.

    Hope the above helps…
