    Hi. I’m not sure what I’ve done, but I can’t get the sidebar to appear on the right-hand side of the page. I have 2 widgets in the “right sidebar” box, and the template “sidebar / content”. It’s showing the sidebar on the left. I’ve tried all the other templates and can’t get it to work. I also have no idea how the php in the templates work, despite examining it carefully, it’s just not as easy to figure out as css.

    Some help would be hugely appreciated

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    You need to change the layout to the “content / sidebar” template. The “right sidebar” from the widget menu is only for the positioning the widget WITHIN the sidebar.

    I’ve done that now, but had to use this css:
    #sidebar-right {
    width: 130%;
    margin-top: -340%;
    padding-left: 66%;
    }

    in order to make it appear where it should. It doesn’t look good on other pages (try searching). Any idea why it’s so broken?

    Phil, can you show me a living example?

    Thanks for the example.

    I’m afraid I still don’t understand why you changed the CSS file? What do you want to archive with that?

    I had that css because I was trying to get the sidebar to fit into place. It’s gone now.

    It works nicely on a search results page:

    I’ve done a lot of tinkering with the css and a tiny bit of messing with some of the php, but not much.

    By the way, I experience a lot of problems loading this forum. It often doesn’t load at all and returns an error.

    I’m not sure what you changed in the CSS or PHP, but you definetly changed something. And sometimes only “a little” change can end up easy in a mess. Reverse everything or go back to “Start”. And change the layout as adviced previous to get the sidebar on the right hand side as it is still on the left hand side on your example page.

    Indeed. Well I’m afraid to mess up what I already have, so I may download the theme again elsewhere and compare file by file.

    Thanks for the help, Alexander:)
