I just installed your Esplanade theme yesterday and let me say, I love it!

There is just one thing that I don’t like. I don’t like how the slider displays the text on the right side, and I would like to be able to display an image next to the text, so that it is a little more eye-catching and not just the text by itself.

Is there a way I can make this happen?

I just created a sticky post today on my Papillon’s blog: http://www.butterfly-ears.com. You can see there what I mean, it’s just not popping the way I would like it to.

To enable the slider you need to change “visibility” so that the post is displayed as a sticky.

Just stopping by to see if anyone has any feedback on this dilemma yet.

    Thanks!

You need to assign a featured image to posts in the slider and they will appear on the post’s left side. You do that when editing the post in the media upload tool.

I don’t see a way to assign an image as a “featured image.”

Do I need to download an additional plugin for this to work?

When editing a post, in the media upload tool when previewing an image you should see a link beside insert into post saying “Use as Featured Image”.
