I can not find how to display social buttons (facebook, flickr) at the head of the subject, as this in the official demo …. I only see the form and nothing else.

I leave you a screenshot of what I do.

You can assign each of them under Appearance > Theme Options > General

I am also having this issue, I would like only the social media links not the search bar if possible. I have tried editing the widget bar. I am using a child theme.

Alright, I see now that the links were showing up but the images aren’t? Do I need to alter anything when using those icons with animations in a child theme? I have copied all of the image files over but that hasn’t changed anything… I would also like to use the social media icons in an alternate place on the theme, is this possible?

Quite by accident, I may have figured this out. I didn’t have any social media buttons on my homepage despite having them designated in the Settings area. But, while changing my widgets and removing EVERYTHING from the “Header” section and placing the widgets elsewhere (such as Sidebar Right, Footer, etc.), when I viewed my page, the social media icons appeared (just like in the demo). The Header section under the widget section says “intended exclusively for displaying ads”. I don’t know what that ultimately means but when widgets were in the Header, none of them showed and neither did the social media icons.

Can the media links be moved to the Footer?

Since that’s a hard coded function and not a widget it can not be moved without hard coding it in the footer.

Oh ok – I’m a newbie – so I dont think I would attempt that.
May have to ask someone to do it for me.
Hope I dont mess up the template.

    Thanks

    Buenos dias:

La solución para que aparezca el icono Twitter:
Theme Opciones – General – Social Media Links – poner twitter Account.
Poner Full posts to display: 2. Marcar Sticky Posts Slider y Exclude Portfolio.
A mi me seguia apareciendo el Buscador y no Twitter.
Buscador tenia Widgets en Header; si cambiamos widgets “buscar” Sidebar Top, apareceran los dos iconos.

    Saludos
