Adsense and Google Analytics support are the first missing item that came to mind.
And to use a plugin for the second one is really overkill, it’s just 3 fixed lines to put at the bottom of every page…
Every theme should come with supprt for the two most used tools used on the web……

Multiple color scheme options. If some of the widgets are in fact default, ability to edit them / turn them on and off. Support for monitization.

It’s so easy to install analytics yourself. Just cut and paste the code, it takes 30 seconds. Appearance –> Editor –> Footer (footer.php) –> paste the code just above </body> Nothing to it. This does not need a “plugin” or “theme support”

Support for site analytics assumes allowing JavaScript code being outputted directly into the site’s footer. Some ad codes contain scripts too.

Just allowing any script to be put in the footer is a huge security risk and makes the site vulnerable to cross-site scripting.

Such a support will not be included. There are plugins that do this well.

So are you saying it’s bad that I just pasted my analytics into footer.php?

Can you recommend your favorite plugin(s) that support adsense and any other monetization?

Thanks.

Hard coding the script in the site’s footer is fine, although I recommend using plugins.

The problem is with scripts that may appear there without your intention if somebody gets access to your site.

It would be great if the HEADLINES section at the top could cycle through a series of 3 or 4 articles like this theme:

SwiftThemes, The Fastest Loading, Free & Premium Responsive SEO WordPress Themes

Actually, it would be nicer if you switched the positions of the Headlines and the Featured sections. I would prefer the FEATURED section on top where HEADLINES currently resides. And then it would be great if the FEATURED section could cycle through 3-5 posts.

It would also be nice if you could add a custom logo graphic over the custom header background graphic. Right now you have to create a header background that includes your logo. The Swift Theme (above) lets you have a custom header background and a custom logo. Saves a lot of time in photoshop! πŸ™‚

The Swift theme is so customizable that is full of bugs…
Please cut the widgets…..
But a different color scheme would be nice….

Would it be possible to exclude posts from certain areas if they apera in others. I mean: if I have a featured post, and it is the last post and becomes popular the viewer sees it in the featured, popular and headline section. So when he starts the site he has the sam epost in 3 placess. Could there be some kinde of an “if” and when the post will be in the headline it wont be inserted in popular and featured. Same goes for the lates. If it is in headline, and becomes popuplar it is also shown in latest. I hope that I made it clear πŸ˜‰ Writing thoughts in English is a bit hard for me πŸ˜‰

Good evening ! I use for two years now the cover-wp theme and I am very fond of it.
My question is, what would be the best way to make it responsive ? I installed the wptouch plugin and I am making a bit of customizing for the time being, but would it be ok to use your Pinboard new theme ? Or do you suggest something else ?

Thank you and multumesc mult !

I do not know if you are supporting this theme anymore but I love it, and I was wondering if there was a way to change the colour scheme, I am a novice though.
